Botulinum Toxin

Botulinum is an application that exerts its effect according to the principle of inhibiting muscle movements through the intramuscular injection of neurotoxins produced in the laboratory from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. We perform Botulinum applications for cosmetic or functional purposes.

Botulinum is a treatment method that can be used under clinical conditions. When applied to the facial muscles that allow the mimic movements of our face, it relaxes the muscles and minimizes the formation of wrinkles and lines on the face. This application can be done painlessly and practically by intramuscular injection of small doses into the mimic muscles. After the procedure, the patient can immediately return to the daily life. It can be used for forehead wrinkles, wrinkles around the eyes (crow’s feet), nose wrinkles, mouth-lip wrinkles, wrinkles in the chest area and to lift the eyebrows.

In addition to its aesthetic use, it is also used functionally for ailments such as muscle spasms, movement disorders, headaches, excessive sweating, teeth grinding or clenching, by applying it to the appropriate muscle groups to relieve these ailments.

Its effect lasts for 4-6 months. If the application is not repeated, the effect is completely gone. Since it has no permanent effect, it should be applied 2-3 times a year for continuous effect.

It may take 5-7 days before you see the full effect after application.

Slight redness in the injected areas is normal when the application is done.

You should not expose the treated area to heat or massage and should not bend your head forward for about 3 hours after these facial applications.
