Dermal Filler

Dermal Filler

Fillers are substances used to add volume to the face, reduce deep or thin lines and wrinkles.

Fillers are used to eliminate wrinkles, eliminate volume loss in the temporal region and cheeks, plump up the lips, change the volume of the jaw and, if necessary, eliminate asymmetries in various parts of the face.

It is a non-surgical application performed under clinical conditions. And it should not be forgotten that it is actually performed to support surgical procedures. It is a low-risk procedure when used correctly by experienced doctors. Fillers come in different densities, depending on the area to be treated. Almost all of them contain local anesthetic substances called lidocaine to minimize pain discomfort, so it is very important to talk to the doctor in detail to avoid possible allergic reactions.

After applying fillers, slight redness on the skin, sometimes slight bruising and swelling are normal, they recede and disappear in a few days. You can return to your daily activities right after the procedure, but you may need to stay away from strenuous activities and sports for a few days. How long the filler’s effects last depends on the product, the area where it is applied, and the patient. The denser the filler and the deeper the application site, the longer the effect will last. How often and in what quantity it is applied is determined by the doctor.

Lip Filler
It is a procedure to eliminate deficiencies in the volume of the lips and asymmetries of the lip, to work on the contour. The type and amount of filler to be used is determined by the doctor through examination. The corners of the mouth, smoker’s lines, oral mucosal moisture content, nasolabial folds and marionette lines should be assessed together. Depending on the person’s needs, other procedures may be required in addition to lip augmentation.

Topical (superficial) anesthetics are used 15-20 minutes before the procedure. Depending on the person’s needs, the dose is applied to the desired areas using the microinjection method. Commonly used fillers contain local anesthetics which prevent the development of pain during and after the application.

After the application, swelling, redness and bruising of the lips may occur. Cold is applied at the initial stage. It would be better not to eat or drink anything for 1-2 hours after the procedure. The final result will appear after about 1 week to 10 days. This procedure can be repeated as needed.

Filler for Temples
Soft tissue deficiencies can occur in the temporal region structurally or due to age. This area can be filled very easily with soft tissue fillers. Fillers applied to this area will improve the tired and sick facial expression, while also providing some lifting effect around the eyes. Local anesthetic creams are applied before the procedure. After the procedure, there may be slight pain in the temporal area when chewing for 1-2 days. The permanence varies from 6 months to 2 years depending on the product used.

Nose Filler
The nose is our most prominent organ and is located in the center of our face. Rhinoplasty is the most common procedure we perform. The nasal tissue can be enlarged or reduced through surgery. For patients who are not suitable for surgery, who are not thinking about rhinoplasty, who want minimal changes to the nose, or who complain of asymmetry, it is possible to achieve a change in the shape of the nose with fillers. Nose reshaping with fillers alone is not suitable for every nose structure. With the help of fillers, it is possible to raise the tip of the nose, reduce the appearance of the bridge of the nose, eliminate asymmetries due to surgery or other causes, and add volume to sunken areas.

Slight swelling and bruising may occur the next day. The person can go to work the next day without any problems. The actual result will be seen within 1 week. Reapplication may be necessary.

Chin Filler
It is very important that the jaw line stands out in the beauty of the face. For this purpose, volume and clarity can be added to the mandibles along the jawline and the chin with fillers. The amount of filler, its permanence, and the areas to be treated are determined after the doctor and patient make a joint decision. The chin should never be evaluated alone. The lip size, the shape and projection of the nose, the forehead area, the shape of the cheekbones, the nasolabial and marionette folds should be evaluated together. The filler to be used can be selected based on its permanence. If permanent methods are desired as a result of the application, chin implants and genioplasty are more appropriate.

The cheekbones are located in the mid face and serve as the lifting region of the face. As we age, the cheekbones recede and the tissue on them begins to sag downward and the fat pads on our face lose volume. By applying fillers to this area, the loss of volume in the mid face is eliminated. Thus, the sagging is reduced. The mid face is directly related to the tear trough and nasolabial folds. Filling this area can especially reduce the deepened nasolabial fold and the troughs under the eyes. The application of fillers in this area makes the face appear thinner and gives the face the appearance of an inverted triangle. The procedure may cause redness, swelling and bruising. A local anesthetic cream is applied before the procedure. The permanence varies from 6 months to 2 years depending on the product used.

Under Eye Light Filler
One of the most noticeable areas on our face is the eye area. Wrinkles and dark circles under the eyes are problems that make people look tired and old. Although the wrinkles here are structural, they become more noticeable with the loss of bone tissue support as we age. Since this area is a trough, it remains in shadow and looks even darker. Because the skin in this area is very thin, subcutaneous veins are easily visible and appear as dark circles, especially in fair-skinned people.

The filler applied to this area should contain a hyaluronic acid that does not bind much water. In addition, this filler should contain supporting elements that moisturize the area and reduce free radicals.

Profhilo 5-Points Technique
Profhilo is a filler made with hyaluronic acid without the addition of cross-linking chemicals. By injecting this filler into the 5 BAPs (Bio Aesthetic Points) on both sides of the face, rejuvenation and revitalization of the skin, connective tissue and supporting adipose tissue is achieved. After the application, there is a revitalization and lifting effect on the face, while at the same time the skin is renewed. The effect of the treatment, which is performed in 2 sessions 6 months apart, lasts for 1 year. A local anesthetic cream is applied before the treatment.
